Ultrasounds
All ultrasounds at CareNet are physician-attended. Many women appreciate the opportunity to consult directly with a physician, and learn whether or not her pregnancy is viable (expected to continue normally). Ultrasounds also reveal how many weeks into a pregnancy a woman is, which often helps with her decision-making.
Ultrasounds work using high-frequency sound waves, which are transmitted into the woman and reflected back through a transducer. Ultrasounds are renowned for providing high accuracy without pain. They have been used for over 30 years, and no risks have been identified with their use.
